Thank you for sending these selections and for providing a bit of historical context for this. I was especially appreciative for the introduction to Toumani Diabate's Symmetric Orchestra and the wonderfully expressive utilization of the kora. Simply marvelous. As for the extended video for the Carolina Chocolate Drops, it includes what has become my favorite Carolina Chocolate Drops song, "Leaving Eden". I encourage everyone to take a peak and listen.
As for my new found musical treasure, I think my favorite Rhiannon Giddens performance is her rendition of the old Patsy Cline tune "She's Got You".
As for Darius Rucker, yes, I am a big fan. As a father of three daughters myself, his "It Won't Be Like This For Long" always tends to make me want to cry.
but his "This" is my hopeful motto for my own life. Maybe it will be for others
