Many of you responded to my recent post about Eva Cassidy and were amazed at the beauty of her voice. Some thought that she must have been trained to sing the way she did and some immediately wanted to make comparison to other artists...usually other jazz and r&b artists. However, what has always resonated with me is that Eva Cassidy was, and is, the teacher and that, in the purest sense, she was a "soul" artist whose voice is able to transcend time and space to bless us in the here and now. A few years after her death, ABC did a profile on her. I invite you to take some time to view this profile and, after you dry away your tears, understand that this really is a Wonderful World.
